What Is an Orthopedic Surgeon?

/

An orthopedic surgeon can effectively diagnose and treat issues involving the joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves throughout your body. This can include orthopedic surgery like joint replacement, or rehabilitation to help ease painful symptoms.

Why Patients Choose Our Doctors For Their Orthopedic Care

Many sports medicine and orthopedic specialists refer their patients to our doctors for advanced care in orthopedics. Below are a few reasons why people in Lampasas, TX, and throughout Greater Austin choose us for their orthopedic care:

Board-Certified

All our doctors at Orthopedic Specialists of Austin are board-certified and fellowship-trained specialists who can treat a wide range of conditions on any part of the body.

Specialists

All our doctors are specialists who focus on their specific area within orthopedics. Unlike generalists, who may perform shoulder surgery twice a year, these shoulder specialists perform about six surgeries a day.

Their Mission

It is the mission of all our physicians to use the most advanced orthopedic techniques to provide the least invasive form of treatment possible that will lead to a rapid recovery.

Why Would I Need An Orthopedic Surgeon?

Orthopedics encompasses all areas of the musculoskeletal structure. Sports injuries, arthritis, and a torn ligament are just some of the many reasons you might need to see an orthopedic specialist. If you are in need of orthopedic care, contact our Lampasas, TX, office today.

Total Joint Replacement

One of the most common orthopedic surgeries, total joint replacement can help ease the pain for patients suffering from deteriorated knees, ankles, hips, shoulders, and more. A joint replacement may be needed due to arthritis, extensive wear and tear on the joint, or severe trauma to the affected joint. If the use of braces, changes in physical activity, or non-invasive treatments are unsuccessful, our medical professionals may recommend total joint replacement surgery. Our orthopedic medical specialists provide top-quality joint replacements for virtually any joint in the body.

Sports Injury

A tear to your ACL, a torn rotator cuff, fractured ankle, and more can all be healed through orthopedic surgery. If you or your child has suffered from a sports-related injury, you want to be sure they are cared for by a specialized and experienced surgical team. Our surgical team uses the latest technology in orthopedics so you can heal as effectively and quickly as possible and get back onto the court or field.

Arthritis

Arthritis is a painful condition of the joints that typically occurs in older individuals. It can be caused by a previous injury, trauma to the joint, or normal wear and tear. Our orthopedic specialists can utilize various non-invasive treatment options to help you live pain-free. However, when pain medicine, physical therapy, and corticosteroids aren't enough, surgery may be recommended to help alleviate your symptoms.

Dr. Seade was always patient and treated my concerns as legitimate. I was in a rollover in 2020 and had shoulder pain and limited ROM, and after we tried conservative management, Dr. Seade went in and took care of the problem surgically. I have been recovering well so far and I can’t thank Dr. Seade and his team enough for their care over the last year. My career requires me to have use of my shoulders and I didn’t know what I was going to do if the pain or ROM never got better. Thank you, Dr. Seade and co. Thank you x like 1,000.

I personally have gone through multiple surgeries with Dr. Heinrich and he is amazing. Another doc in Austin had destroyed my hip and his last words were to me " you need a replacement but your too young even though you are still in pain". I was 27 and barely able to walk into work and my quality of life was not good. Dr. Heinrich listened and had more imaging done and was able to determine that I needed a replacement Over a year and half later I am doing amazing and love this practice enough to refer my husband who hurt his leg and knee. Dr. Catlett is great and getting you in asap and addressing concerns and making sure that you are taken care of! I would not go anywhere else for my ortho needs.
