Dr. Andrew Ebert, MD

Foot and Ankle Specialist

Dr. Andrew Ebert is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon providing comprehensive foot and ankle care to teens and adults in Austin, Leander and throughout Travis County. Originally from Houston Texas, Dr Ebert received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical branch in Galveston. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Originally from Houston Texas, Dr Ebert received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical branch in Galveston. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Ebert completed a fellowship in foot and ankle orthopedic surgery at OrthoCarolina and O.L. Miller Foot and Ankle Institute working under renowned foot and ankle sport surgeon, Dr. Robert Anderson.

He diagnosis and treats a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions including ankle sprains, fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, sports related injuries, foot and ankle arthritis, instability, tendonitis and overuse conditions. He has a particular interest in sports medicine and currently provides care for athletes at the University of Texas at Austin, Baylor University, and Austin FC professional soccer team. With a thoughtful, conservative approach to treatment whenever possible, Dr. Ebert focuses on nonsurgical solutions to relive pain and restore full function.

When surgery is needed, he offers advanced minimally invasive techniques designed to support faster recovery and help patients return to the activities they enjoy. He is an expert in total ankle replacement for patients with advanced joint conditions.

Dr. Ebert is involved in teaching resident physicians and holds an appointment as a Clinical Instructor of Orthopedic Surgery with the Dale Medical School. He is a recognized thought leader in his field and regularly teaches other orthopedic surgeons and consults with implant companies on techniques and technology development.

Patients consistently highlight Dr. Ebert's depth of experience and thoughtful approach to care. He is known for his attention to detail, taking his time to fully understand each patient's condition before recommending a treatment plan. His calm, attentive bedside manner ensures patients feel heard, never rushed and confident in their care. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS), the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), and the Texas Orthopaedic Association. He has also been appointed as an examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a reviewer and editor for a prominent foot and ankle orthopedic medical journal. He is consistently recognized year after year in Texas Monthly Super Doctors

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Ebert is actively involved in the community. He regularly speaks at scientific conferences, contributes to medical publications and participates in charitable initiatives that provide orthopedic and surgical care abroad. He also enjoys golfing, skiing, and spending time with his family. He is particularly passionate about salt water fly fishing and travels the world in its pursuit.

Dr. Matthew Heinrich specializes in joint replacement, from new, minimally invasive techniques to complex revision techniques; he focuses on reestablishing bone stock and joint mechanics. Dr. Heinrich has extensive experience in procedures such as anterior total hip arthroplasty and hip arthroscopy. He also offers mini-incision hips and unicondylar knee replacements for quicker recovery.

Dr. Matthew Heinrich is a board-certified total joint replacement specialist. He has extensive training and nearly 20 years of hands-on experience. He is also a consultant and clinical assistant professor for the University of Texas Medical Branch.

Dr. Heinrich is Fellowship trained and is a consultant and clinical assistant professor for The University of Texas Medical Branch. He is recognized by his fellow orthopedic surgeons for service in the Texas Army National Guard and Naval Air Reserves.

Robert Josey, M.D.

One of the founding partners of Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin, Dr. Josey is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in comprehensive medical and surgical treatment of the spine. Dr. Josey has over 20 years of specialized experience in minimally invasive spinal surgery.

Dr. Josey is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and fellowship trained spine surgeon. He specializes in the complete and comprehensive medical and surgical treatment of the spine from diagnosis through recovery. He provides cutting edge skills and technology to patients in all age groups. His goal is to restore function and quality of life, using the least invasive treatment plan available.

A native of Houston, Dr. Josey is a clinical assistant professor for The University of Texas Medical Branch and has lectured both domestically and abroad.

Edward Seade, M.D.

Dr. Edward Seade specializes in the shoulder, with a focus on arthroscopic techniques and adult reconstructive surgery for maximum comfort and easier rehabilitation. He is one of the few surgeons nationwide to perform arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs.

Dr. Seade is a clinical assistant professor at The University of Texas Medical Branch. He is a national instructor for total shoulder prosthesis implants and continues to educate other orthopedic surgeons on new techniques and advancements in arthroscopic surgery.

Prior to joining Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin, Dr. Seade was a partner at Santa Fe Orthopaedic Associates where he was the sports medicine physician for Santa Fe Ski Patrol and Ski School. He was also the chief of orthopedics at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, N.M.

While attending The University of Texas, Dr. Seade ran on the track team coached by U.S. Olympic track coach Stan Huntsman.

David Dodgin, MD

Hip and Knee Specialist

Dr. Dodgin has more than 20 years of experience, staying up-to-date on the latest technology and advancements in his field. In addition, Dr. Dodgin has helped develop national teaching programs for anterior hip replacements since 2004, helping teach doctors beyond Austin, TX, the latest in orthopedic medicine.

Dr. Dodgin is especially interested in computer navigation, 3D surgical planning, and robotic replacement surgery of the hip and knee. Before coming to Austin, he developed advanced joint replacement and computer navigation programs in Northern California and Central Illinois.

Michael H. Moghimi, MD

Dr. Moghimi (pronounced "Mo-He-Me") was born in Detroit, Michigan but quickly found his way to Texas.

As a member of the esteemed North American Spine Society, Dr. Moghimi believes in a comprehensive approach to spine care, which includes both non-operative and operative treatments. Surgery should always be a last resort, but when necessary, he strives to provide the best care using the newest and most innovative technologies available including minimally invasive spine surgery.

Harrison F. Kay, M.D

Elbow, Wrist & Hand Specialist

Dr. Harrison F. Kay, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes exclusively in the care of the hand, wrist, and elbow. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Kay earned his undergraduate degree in Biomechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He completed medical school at Vanderbilt University, followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Southern California, and advanced fellowship training in hand, wrist, & elbow surgery at Washington University in St. Louis.

​​​​​​​Dr. Harrison F. Kay, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes exclusively in the care of the hand, wrist, and elbow. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Kay earned his undergraduate degree in Biomechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He completed medical school at Vanderbilt University, followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Southern California, and advanced fellowship training in hand, wrist, & elbow surgery at Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. Kay cares for patients with a wide breadth of conditions involving the hand, wrist, and elbow. These include chronic conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, arthritis, and tendonitis, as well as traumatic conditions such as tendon and nerve injuries, fractures, and sports and workplace injuries.

He uses an evidence-based approach to his treatments and listens to his patients to carefully design an appropriate and individualized care plan. He performs both open and minimally invasive procedures, using arthroscopy when indicated and the most up to date surgical techniques, in order to help patients regain comfort and function quickly.

Dr. Kay has published several articles in peer-reviewed orthopedic and hand surgery journals including, the Journal for Bone and Joint Surgery and the Journal of Hand Surgery.
When he isn't caring for patients, Dr. Kay enjoys playing volleyball, cooking, and exploring national parks with his wife, Andi.
