We have established protocols for staff and physicians to ensure that our response is consistent with the standards of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local and state health departments. Many office visits can be done via Telemedicine.
Due to the increasingly stringent Shelter In Place orders, the need for determining true necessity for in-office visits is essential and required. Someone from your clinical team will contact you to determine your current needs.
Our board certified, joint reconstruction fellowship trained surgeons, Dr. David Dodgin and Dr. Matthew Heinrich, are highly trained to specialize in total hip and knee care, including total knee reconstruction and replacement, total hip replacement, complex revision surgery, joint preservation surgery such as ligament reconstruction and cartilage transplantation and much more. Our doctors will explain your plan of care and treatment options designed to promote the highest quality of care for your condition. Our doctors take the time provide you with the least invasive, most conservative services before recommending surgery on your hip or knee. We aim to provide care that is highly personalized to each patient with the highest quality standards for total hip and knee care.
"Thank you so very much for replacing my left hip. It is so much better than before, as you said it would be. I have had experience with several other orthopedic surgeons over my lifetime and you are, by far, the best. I will definitely recommend you to others."
The Texas Institute for Hip & Knee Surgery (TIHKS) was formed by collaborative efforts from Dr. Matthew Heinrich and Dr. David Dodgin in order to broaden the scope of care and objectively measure the results from intervention. The Institute also allows us to work closely with industry to have access to the latest implant designs and treatments, some of which are otherwise unavailable outside of a FDA/IRB monitored study format. All studies are performed with strict compliance to, and monitoring by ,local IRB and the FDA. This unique opportunity allows the Institute to provide the most clinically relevant treatment options to our patients while also providing the most protection as possible for our patients through close outcome monitoring.
