What Our Patients Say

I had a rotator cuff injury several months ago, and finally realized that I had to have surgery for it and went back to my Orthopedic medicine group, orthopedic physicians of Austin, and this time I saw Dr. Edward Seade Who is their shoulder specialist. It’s been three months and one day since the surgery that was completely successful even though I had a lot of arthritis in the shoulder and it was torn really up really bad , but all good now! I couldn’t be happier, Dr Seade is great if you need To fix the shoulder issue! I was told that shoulder surgeries and recovery are one of the most painful and annoying and that was the absolute truth, but I knew that after the first week or 10 days it would start to get better and it absolutely did. Dr Seade is tops!

Gene Davis

Have you ever had a doctor send you emails every few days before and after a procedure? No? What about to encourage you, check to see how you’re doing, or instruct you on what physical therapy would be best to start at home after your surgery? No? Then you’re working with the wrong doctor! Dr. Seade was proactive in reaching out- And it was greatly appreciated I have already highly recommended him to a few of my friends and acquaintances. I can’t speak highly enough about the confidence he gave me before during and after my procedure, thank you.

Kathleen V.

I injured my shoulder over three years ago and had surgery to fix it (by a different physician). It just got progressively worse and I lived through it for three years.  I finally went to see Dr Seade for a full regular shoulder replacement.  It was an amazing experience!!!  He and his team are phenomenal!  I am going into the third month post surgery and doing strong in my PT.  The pain level is low, only sore muscles when I am doing PT.  A beautiful pain and I am on the trajectory to being me again!  Thanks to Dr. Seade and his amazing team!!!

Florence M.

Dr Heinrich is a brilliant, kind, and meticulous meticulous surgeon, who even designed the prosthetic for the knees. He quickly got me back on the dance floor after surgery, and discovered a bulging disc and then referred me to Dr Moghimi, who was able to address the issue non surgically. The doctors and staff provide the best quality care and results with minimally invasive surgery. I highly recommend Orthopedic Specialists of Austin.

Patient

Dr Seade is the 2nd Doctor I have seen at this practice. They are very specialized and I have found this to be the very best! Dr Heinrich replaced my hip and both knees (his specialty). At 75 I recovered rapidly and I will say my PT was quite impressed. I am now seeing Dr Seade for my shoulders and feeling miraculously better. The Physician Assistants for both Doctors are extremely experienced and professional. I highly recommend this practice.

Jeannie Small

Let me just tell you that if you need shoulder surgery there is only one place to go and that's Dr. Eddie Seade @ Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin. Dr. Seade and his entire staff take the cake when it comes to thoroughly lining out expectations, attention to details, detailed follow up and making sure that they answer all of your questions. Would not go anywhere else!!

Randy D.

I see Dr. Ebert for a reconstruction of my right ankle. He did an amazing job. I am on my road to recovery and he’s been very attentive and thorough x-rays and follow ups to make sure I’m healing properly...I appreciate everything you’ve done for me and I highly recommend Dr. Ebert for any ankle shoes cause he is top-notch.

Patient

Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin has an office in Leander off of Crystal Falls Parkway. It is in such a great office space with individual buildings. So well designed. I saw Dr. Harrison Kay for my trigger finger and have been to him on several other occasions. He is a kind, careful, hand doctor that listens to your concerns. The injection was painful, but he was patient and gentle in the way he adminstered it. If you have any issues with your hands, let him help you.

Patient

Absolutely the best, entire staff was wonderful! I researched several hip replacement surgeons and decided on Doctor David Dodgin, he was actually referred to me by my neighbor. He and his staff were great. The actual surgical facility in lake way was wonderful and the staff there should be very proud of the job they do! The relief from my pain is only out done by the treatment I received from everyone on the staff!

Bill Payer

I have been a patient of Dr. Dodgin for almost a year now... I chose Dr. Dodgin and Orthopedic specialist of Austin by chance. I continue to go to them because of the fantastic service. I highly recommend the Orthopedic specialists of Austin for absolutely any Orthopedic needs. They’re have been perfection from day one. Excellent healthcare.

Patient

I have had over a dozen sports surgeries but no doctor has come close to being as knowledgeable, responsive and kind as Dr Seade. He has completed two shoulder surgeries for me and they have been such an amazing success. The entire team from his PA to the medical assistant and the front office are amazing.

Patient

Dr. Seade did an excellent job on my torn rotator cuff repair! He also had to remove a bone spur and reattach my bicep muscle! My recovery has went very well and after 12 weeks I finally get to start strength training on my left shoulder and arm! I will be back barrel racing in no time!

LeAnn Nalls

What a great operation! I detached my bicep and needed an immediate appointment and they squeezed me in to see the doctor the next morning. They also booked an MRI for the same day as well. Dr. Kay is an excellent communicator and the whole experience was as easy as can be.

Steve Maddox

Staff is very nice and accommodating...they are patient in diagnosing the problem and the best way to treat it.. I was there last year for a shoulder problem and now I'm back again for a problem with my thumb.. very highly recommended!

Allie Smith

Had a reverse shoulder implant by Dr. Seade. Incredible! Back to work in 2 weeks, doing everything within a year. I would not go to anyone else. Amazing staff.

Patient

A friend of mine who had the same situation with multi-level herniated dics in the neck recommended Dr. Josey. I can see why. I had a consultation with him about my neck and and after he looked over my MRI and xray images, he determined that my condition was not as bad as it felt when the intense pain occurred. He recommended I do physical therapy to help increase my mobility and strengthening my neck muscles. He said that there was no need for any procedure at this time. I was glad to hear the news. Dr. Josey gave me a referral for physical therapy and I start treatment in a week. Dr. Josey is professional, very kind, attentive and personable when it comes to examination of his patients. His staff is very helpful and kind too. I recommend Dr. Josey and staff for any spinal conditions you have. Whether it is mild or severe.

Kevin Ryan

Dr. Heinrich is a wonderful doctor, knowledgeable, kind, and good listener who always explains any questions you may have. I love the way he stops when you have a question and will turn and speak Directly to you. It makes you feel so confident as you are about to have a scary operation. As an example of his competence, I went hiking 3 months after a hip replacement (I was in my 70’s)!

Nancy Gaertner

I’ve seen Dr. Dodgin for a prior knee surgery and again recently for a new injury, and the care has been consistently excellent. Dr. Dodgin is knowledgeable, thorough, and takes the time to clearly explain options and next steps. My surgery had great results, and I felt confident and well cared for during my recent visit as well. Highly recommend.

Joey T

I could hardly stand more than 15 minutes at a time. Dr. Josey told me he had successfully performed surgery for this type of ailment thousands of times. He was true to his words and within 3 weeks of the surgery, I was walking without the spinal pain I had prior. Thanks to Dr. Josey, my quality of life at 74 years old is a lot better.

Patient

My knee replacement has not given me any trouble. My recent bout of physical therapy to strengthen my legs was very helpful and I was able to do a lot of walking and stair climbing on an extended trip. I have been keeping up with the routine and it is helping. John Parker 09 25 1939

John Parker

After 30 years of excruciating back pain and seeing at least 35 different spine specialists, Dr. Josey was the first and only to ever sit down with me long enough to understand and explain my problems and choices. I highly recommend Dr. Josey and his staff. They have saved my life.

Jodie Nobles

Dr. Heinrich is a fantastic surgeon and really does care. I won't go to another orthopedist for any necessary surgery that he is able to perform. You cannot go wrong with Dr. Heinrich!

Carolyn Pou

Great people from the front desk to the Surgeon. David Dodgin has replaced both my knees,R hip, Left hip and David checks all the boxes.

Robert Powell

Dr. Josey is the only Dr. That was able to recognize and treat the bone spur pressing on a nerve. I previously visited about 10 other surgeons who brushed me off. My leg pain is 95 percent gone. I hope my nerves can heal now even though my disc is struggling to make it.

Adrian H

Everyone that I have interacted with at Dr. Moghimi's Leander clinic have been very professional and make you feel at ease. Dr. Moghimi is an excellent spine surgeon. I consider him the best in the Austin area. He recently performed a 4-level fusion on my neck and I am doing great. The neurological and chronic pain issues that I have are subsiding and everyday they get a little better. I am also a healthcare provider in the area and all of the patients that I have referred to Dr. Moghimi have had excellent results as well. His results speak for themselves. Do yourself and your spine a favor and see Dr. Moghimi. You may also see Thomas Redmond PA-C. He is Dr. Moghimi's physician assistant. Thomas is also an excellent medical provider. He's knowledgeable and very professional.

A/J H1

Dr. Moghimi and his staff are excellent! He recently fixed my neck by doing a 4 level fusion. I feel great 6 weeks post op. Off all medications. Please do yourself a favor and ask your medical provider to give you a referral to Dr. Moghimi if they feel you need to see a spine surgeon. I saw 4 surgeons and I am glad I picked Dr. Moghimi.

Patient

I had my left SI joint fused in December 2023, my right SI joint fused in October 2024 and my L4-L5 fused in July 2025 due to a strong slip from Spondylolisthesis. Each of these surgeries were carefully strategized as part of a long-range plan to truly fix me and reduce my debilitating pain. I was 48 years old and most mornings, my husband had to help me stand out of bed. Worse mornings had him picking me up to sit up as I screamed in inescapable pain. I couldn’t stand more than a minute without my back spasming and I was in agony. The first surgery was a success, and the pain was 100% gone on the left SI joint within days of surgery. The following year I found myself eagerly looking forward to escaping pain with the fusion of the right SI joint. That too was successful and it was evident the Spondylolisthesis and painful slip from L4-L5 was ready to be addressed. That surgery was “the big one” for me and I wasn’t as quick to recover as I did the SI joint fusions, which was to be expected. Fast forward two months and I was in awe with how great I felt. I took a step one morning with my coffee and realized I had my old “walk” back. My gait and hip movement was exactly what it used to be from my 30’s. I no longer walked like the pillar of stone my back pain locked me into for years. I was comfortable in my own skin, free from pain, and I was getting my life back—a stark contrast to the pre-surgery agonizing pain which had me questioning my own mortality. I had been clinically depressed and I could no longer do the things I enjoyed with those I cared about due to my back pain. By February 2025 ahead of the “big surgery” which would end the last of the pain I had left, I had almost given up. My daily life revolved around my pain and limitations and those close to me were forced to live it with me. Today, I am free and happy, I’m back on my Peloton and I’ve lost the 20 pounds I gained from chasing pain with steroid injections, alcohol and far too much sleep. I’m finally “me” again and I couldn’t be happier. I won’t apologize for the lengthy stellar review, there are more positive words where this came from. If anything, I hope this review gives others HOPE and direction. I’ve been there and found the pain WAS escapable. I DID ESCAPE & Dr. Moghimi was the most fantastic orchestrator of that. I hope he never forgets how grateful I am to him and I hope he has an incredibly long life with his skilled expertise of healing others. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dr. Moghimi.

I fractured my ankle in Feb 2025. Dr Ebert operated - adding a plate and pubs, cleaning up shattered bone, etc. after several months of immobility, physical therapy, etc. I am back in great shape, even running on a treadmill. Dr Ebert minimized pain at every opportunity. I would completely recommend he and his practice to anyone.

Patient

I visited Dr. Erbert with a foot problem that plagued me for a couple of years. In the first visit, he was able to review prior tests, perform his own test, and give me a reliable diagnosis. He clearly explained the source of the problem and my options. I did not feel rushed, and I was able to ask any questions. I would recommend him to anyone.

Patient

I fell down our stairs and fractured my ankle in Feb on ‘25. Dr Ebert and his team were amazing. He operated, putting in a plate and screws (it was a mess). I had very little pain. It took a several months of crutches, knee scooter, brace, physical therapy, etc. but 6 months later I am walking like normal and even running in a treadmill. I am grateful.
